HOME UPCOMING EVENTS ACTIVITIES |
Events of the Past Years include: The Summertime Herding Event Everyone comes to our annual herding event at the Ewe-topia herding facility. There are show dogs, pet dogs, agility dogs and couch potato dogs.
Joe Kapalos, the owner and trainer at Ewe-topia, talks the crowd through as each dog has a turn with the sheep. The vast majority of the dogs have only this once a year exposure to the working world of sheepherding. It's amazing how many have a great deal of natural herding instinct.
There are those on the outside trying to help, wanting to be in there working.
This event is enjoyed by all, from the youngest puppies to the senior citizens, dogs of course. We bring out our pop-up tents and chairs to relax in the shade when we're not busy in the ring.
There's a large field to run free with our friends, new and old. Sometimes there's a strange colored dog, but we let him stay because we're a friendly bunch.
We can even explore the back 40 and check things out.
Marching in the Rain The November Macy's Holiday parade on the day after Thanksgiving where our members and their dogs march down the main streets in downtown Seattle, come rain or come shine.
